GDPR
You may be asked for personal information if you want to request information from us, or choose to contact us using an online form. In each case we will only use the personal information you provide to deliver the services you have told us you wish to take part in.
A new piece of legislation relates to the data that others may have about you. It is called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is a set of rules that aim to better protect EU citizens regarding their personal data and give them more control over their data, compared to its predecessor, the Data Protection Directive or Directive 95/46/EC. Following the Brexit transition, the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) continues to apply. The provisions of the EU GDPR were incorporated directly into UK law at the end of the transition period. The UK GDPR sits alongside the DPA 2018 with some technical amendments so that it works in a UK-only context. What the GDPR means to KURC is that we need to give you more control over what data KURC holds; tell you why we hold it; tell you how your data is used; and agree with you how you are contacted by KURC. You may read KURC's GDPR Data Privacy Statement here. This privacy policy covers only the Kingston United Reformed Church Charity website at www.kingstonurc.org. Other links within this site to other websites are not covered by this policy.
