KURC Community

Music
Music plays an important part in our worship and is enhanced by the resonant acoustic in our sanctuary.
A choir meets to sing at Easter, Christmas, Harvest Festival and Remembrance Sunday, and at other special services.
A band leads the music at our 11.30am services.
We have a new three-manual Makin digital organ, a medium grand Schimmel piano and a Yamaha Clavinova, plus a wide range of percussion instruments.
We organise monthly lunchtime instrumental recitals. These generally take place on a Thursday at 12.30pm. For details of forthcoming recitals email: music@kingstonurc.org.
The Kingston Third Age Orchestra (K3AO) rehearses weekly in our sanctuary and gives a concert in our church each summer.

Community Lunches

Every Monday

We provide a free 2 course meal to all who need it.
It is free or pay what you can.
Activities
Dancing
On the last Friday of each month there is an afternoon ‘tea dance’ in our Richard Mayo Hall from 1.45 to 4pm.
The cost is £5.
Contact Lyn on 07939 390223 for more information.
Walks
We arrange occasional walks in the local area, including the royal parks and along the Thames. These are usually followed by a meal and are a great opportunity for getting to know people.
The Richard Mayo Centre
The Richard Mayo Centre, approached through automatic doors into the lobby and Foyer lounge, has a large hall with a sprung floor, on the Ground Floor.
There is a Training Room on the first floor, and another large hall on the second floor.
There are several smaller rooms available for meetings while others are rented to charities or other volunteer organisations on a longer-term basis.
The Church Sanctuary is also available for hire and has excellent acoustics for musical performance.
A large kitchen is available for catering purposes.
There are toilets on all three floors; disabled toilets on the ground and first floors. A lift connects all three floors.
